This was the first photo taken of me post surgery on February 19, 2016. My first back surgery. Now in just a couple more days, on May 4, 2018, I have to to undergo another surgery for the same thing, only now, it’s worse. I’m a bit nervous because the procedural risks have gone up a bit, but I know I need to do it. I’m more upset that a chunk of my life has been taken away.

Most people my age, were they going to be having surgery would be telling all of their friends and making plans to see them before or at the hospital. I told my few people and got the basic, “that sucks, but you’ll be better and not complain anymore, right?” I’ll still have fibromyalgia. And it blows that my best friend and her husband are still living in Florida right now. But that’s selfish of me.

In the meantime I’ve been packing a hospital bag with a couple of knitting projects and books, and my tablet, which I guess was the overall point of this post: I upgraded to a .com, so I’ll make a post when that finalizes, and maybe there will be some other fun posts upcoming.
